Transparency and predictability: new working conditions’ requirements for employers in Luxembourg

Today, the Luxembourg Parliament will pass a new law (hereafter the Law) on transparent and predictable working conditions.

The Law, deriving from bill no. 8070, implements European Directive 2019/1152 and enhances the rights and protection of employees, including seconded and temporary workers, apprentices, pupils, and students.

The Law will take effect four days after its publication in the Mémorial, which is expected within the next two weeks. Consequently, the entry into force of the Law is imminent.

Employment contracts going forward must include new information, and current employees will have the right to request this information in writing from their employers.
