A&O Shearman advised Goldman Sachs Alternatives on its majority stake acquisition in Crystal

A&O Shearman has advised the Private Equity division of Goldman Sachs Alternatives on its acquisition of a majority stake in Groupe Crystal, a leading wealth management firm in France, alongside the management team and Seven2, which retains approximately 25% ownership.

Founded in 1992, Crystal is one of France's foremost independent providers of wealth management services and products, managing nearly EUR22 billion in assets. The company offers a comprehensive range of wealth management solutions to both French and international clients.

This transaction, completed on October 31, 2024, following customary regulatory approvals, marks a significant milestone for Groupe Crystal as it aims to accelerate its growth trajectory both in France and internationally.
