A&O Shearman announces the addition of Keith Fujiu as a partner in its U.S. Debt Finance practice, based in the global law firm’s Los Angeles office.

Keith’s versatile skillset and deep experience advising on U.S. asset-based lending (ABL), private credit and direct lending transactions fits squarely with the firm’s continued investment in leveraged finance.

Keith’s practice focuses on representing lending institutions in the leveraged finance market across a number of key products including working capital, acquisition and structured financings, primarily on the lender-side and across multiple sectors with particular expertise in asset-based financings. His work involves split-lien, super-priority revolvers, first and second lien debt structures, asset-based lending, tech/software lending, cash flow lending, syndicated and direct lending, mezzanine debt, refinancings and recapitalizations.

“The addition of Keith Fujiu to our U.S. Debt Finance team illustrates A&O Shearman’s commitment to expanding our offerings across our ten offices in North America,” said Adam Hakki, co-chair of global Executive Committee and Board, and U.S. chair. “We are thrilled Keith is joining us.”

Jake Mincemoyer, global co-head of Debt Finance at A&O Shearman, added: “Keith brings broad technical expertise across a range of core products key to the U.S. leveraged finance market with wide-ranging knowledge regarding asset-based financings. He has deep experience advising key clients, and the breadth of his relationships across the West Coast and the larger U.S. market is extensive. This is an exciting time as A&O Shearman continues to grow the firm’s debt finance capabilities to meet the needs of our clients across the market.”

“I’m honored to be joining A&O Shearman at this monumental time for the firm,” Keith said. “I look forward to working with exceptional teams around the world to advise clients on all aspects of multifaceted and complex leveraged finance transactions in the ever-changing investment market.”

Keith joins A&O Shearman from Paul Hastings, where he was part of the firm’s global finance practice. Admitted in California, Keith graduated from Columbia Law School.
