Alexis advises clients on cybersecurity and privacy issues with a focus on incident preparedness and response, federal, state, and cross-border regulatory investigations, and privacy compliance.
Alexis has represented clients from a variety of industries to assess information security risks, contain and investigate cybersecurity incidents, and manage cross-border regulatory investigations. Her practice also involves advising on privacy compliance with international, federal, and state privacy regulations.  

Her experience includes leading investigations into the cause and scope of security incidents,  assessing and mitigating compliance risks, and engaging with regulators. Alexis holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) certification and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

  • Alexis has helped with incident response for many national and multi-national organizations, and has successfully represented numerous clients in federal investigations following security incidents.  
  • Alexis has conducted HIPAA and NIST gap assessments for large organizations to evaluate privacy and cybersecurity program maturity.
  • Alexis has also helped to build incident response and preparedness programs for healthcare, insurance, and financial institutions clients, among others.

Pro bono

  • Advising steering group of lawyers from various organizations on improving Special Immigrant Visa process.
  • Achieved asylum award for a family escaping domestic and gang violence in Honduras.
