Anthony has extensive experience in structured financings, he also heads our Civil law team in the Middle East.
He has been based in the GCC for over 18 years and has a profound knowledge of the region. Anthony has extensive experience in advising major international and regional players on general banking, structured financings, ECA covered lending, real estate financings and general regulatory matters.

Experience

Representative matters

  • J.P. Morgan in establishing an up to USD 700 million receivables securitisation for Tabby. The receivables securitization was structured as a senior revolving loan facility, a mezzanine variable funding note facility, and a subordinated note facility, as well as Murabaha financing.
  • Emirates Investment Authority on a AED 2 billion revolving margin loan with Emirates NBD Bank PJSC secured by shares listed on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange.
  • Japanese ECAs (JBIC and NEXI) and other lenders on the project financing of Warsan waste to energy project in Dubai.
  • Total Solar on the financing of a portfolio of distributed solar generation plants in Dubai with National Bank of Fujairah and Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation.
  • AlInma Bank on a SAR 350m Musharakah, Wakala and Ijara financing to Saudi Particle Therapy Center for the construction, development and operation of an advanced cancer treatment centre using proton technology.
