Claudia has experience in a wide range of corporate, commercial and contentious matters including domestic and cross border private acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, bancassurance alliances and reorganizations.

She mainly advises clients on the private corporates, financial institutions, insurance undertakings and private-equity funds with their Spanish and international operations. Claudia has developed particular expertise in the technology, insurance,  consumer goods, pharmaceutical and FIG sectors and has worked in recent years on leading  operations in these sectors. Claudia is an active member of our FIG working group as well as of the Pro Bono Committee and Diversity Committee (A&O Shearman's LGBTQ+ network) of A&O Shearman Madrid. She has been a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2018.

  • A global investment organization on its investment in two innovators in table grape and cherry breeding.
  • Nexi on the acquisition of the merchant acquiring business of Banco Sabadell and the execution of a long-term strategic agreement with the bank.
  • First Sentier on the refinancing and sale process of Parkia Group.
  • A global financial services provider on the bancassurance alliance with BBVA (previous firm experience).
  • AXA on the acquisition of IMQ (Cantabria) (previous firm experience).
  • Magna Automotive on the acquisition of the automotive manufacturing Viza Group (previous firm experience).
  • Wisetech Global Limited in the acquisition of the software group of companies Taric (previous firm experience).
  • PACCOR Group in the acquisition of EDV Packaging (previous firm experience).

Pro bono

  • Member of the Pro Bono Committee of A&O Shearman Madrid.
  • Secondment in Athens working for the NGO European Lawyers in Lesvos (February 2023).
  • Mentoring participants in the project “Generando Nuevas Oportunidades” of Fundación Integra.
  • Participated in Project Coach organized by Exit Foundation to guide and motivate socially vulnerable young people who come from an experience of school failure through coaching and mentoring. 
  • Advised United Nations on international legislation relating to human rights.
  • Advised a human rights international organization on several commercial and corporate matters.
  • Participated with Amoverse Foundation by teaching on employment and social security rights and obligations to a vocational training class.
