Giannis advises financial institutions and other corporates on regulatory and business change.

Giannis advises on a range of financial services regulatory, compliance and risk matters, including change in control, the structuring of transactions and financial products, licensing and AML registrations, regulatory capital and the regulation of markets and investment firms.

Giannis has recently assisted clients with their preparation for key legislative developments including PSD3, CRD VI, Basel 3.1, IFPR, the FCA Consumer Duty and the proposed FCA/Bank of England Digital Securities Sandbox. 

Giannis has contributed to high-profile policy development and legislative drafting initiatives across the UK, UAE and KSA, with a focus on AI governance, ESG labelling, financial promotions, and the licensing of virtual asset activities and Web 3.0 organisations.

In 2023, Giannis was seconded to the firm's Middle East regulatory practice in the UAE. Giannis continues to advise on matters relating to the DIFC, ADGM and onshore UAE financial services regimes.
