Employment Counsel

Giorgia has more than 15 years' experience advising national and international clients on employment related matters, with a focus on employment, collaboration and agency contracts, non-competition agreements and restrictive covenants, managing individual and collective dismissals and settlement agreements with managers and employees.
Giorgia also has significant experience in assisting clients on employment law aspects of corporate M&A deals, as well as in advising on tranfers and international mobility and secondments and on labour law issues related to reorganization and restructuring processes and industrial and trade union relations. She represents and advises clients both out of court and before employment courts.    

Experience

Representative matters

  • Euronext, a pan European exchange group operating in regulated markets, in relation to a wide legal assistance on the employment law aspects following the acquisition of Borsa Italiana.
  • A multinational financial institution in implementing a restructuring plan following its exit from the Italian market, also with respect to the industrial and trade union relations triggered by the restructuring as well as on the liquidation related aspects.
  • La Galvanina, an Italian producer of premium private label and branded mineral water and traditional and organic soft drinks, on all its employment related matters in Italy, following the acquisition by the Riverside company.
  • Universal Pictures Italia, a film production and distribution company, in negotiating a company agreement with trade unions, organizations and work councils aiming at facilitating the exit of several employees derogating from the provisions of Covid-19 ban of dismissals.

Pro bono

  • Pro bono assistance in a large-scale project for Missing Children Europe, as author of the Italian contribution piece to the survey and related publication on the transposition of directive 2011/93/EU on combating sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children and child pornography.
