Senior Legal Project Manager

Harpreet joined the firm in 2004 as a trainee. Harpreet has previously undertaken an oversees secondment in Hong Kong and a client secondment.

Harpreet remains a solicitor of the courts of England and Wales.

Harpreet provides end-to-end project management on legal matters and her responsibilities include project planning, establishing project governance and reporting protocols, facilitating optimal communication flows, coordinating delivery between all stakeholders, tracking and reporting workstream progress and fees accruals and identifying and managing delivery risks.

Harpreet thrives working on large-scale, multi-workstream matters bringing together specialist teams from across the firm, involving a significant number of jurisdictions, completing multiple phases of work and where profitability, efficiency and innovation are key.

Harpreet specialises in working on the firm’s largest and most complex Finance transactions including Asset Finance, Restructuring & Bankruptcy, Real Estate, DCM and Debt Finance matters as well as Corporate matters. Harpreet’s wide-ranging experience acting for banks, funds, export credit agencies, corporates and manufacturers has contributed to Harpreet’s strong stakeholder management skills.

Harpreet’s extensive experience of being a transactional lawyer at the firm for over a decade has been invaluable to her role.

Harpreet’s long-standing client-facing experience makes her particularly adept at anticipating client needs and pro-actively providing clients with easily digestible progress updates and fees and budget reporting.

Representative matters

  • An aircraft leasing company in relation to their forthcoming asset-backed securitisation of 43 aircraft leased to 11 world-wide airlines.
  • A global institutional alternative investment management firm in respect of the set-up of their commercial aviation financing platform, Ashland Place, and related on-going asset-backed securitisation projects.
  • Stonepeak Partners and Bellinger Asset Management in relation to the set-up of their joint aviation financing platform and inaugural US$893.477m asset-backed securitisation of 17 loan facilities secured by 159 aircraft.
  • Falko Regional Aircraft Limited in respect of its inaugural US$255m asset-backed securitisation of 39 aircraft.
  • Six trustees in relation to the issuer substitutions in respect of over 80 CLO (collateralised loan obligations) transactions across 25 deal families to mitigate the impact of a tax authority ruling in relation of Dutch VAT in 2021.
  • The purchase by Falko from Avolon of a portfolio of 49 regional aircraft leased to 9 world-wide airlines.
  • The existing financiers in relation to the simultaneous release of security and redemption of 33 separate loan facilities across 18 jurisdictions for nine financing syndicates.
  • A large UK-based bank in relation to its regulatory restructuring.

  • Harpreet is certified in project management and has a Yellow Belt in Lean Six Sigma.

Admissions

Harpreet remains a solicitor of the courts of England and Wales (admitted in 2006) and is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.

Academic

Harpreet studied at the University of Cambridge and holds a MA (Cantab) Law and completed her Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School.
