Laurent advises clients on asset management and investment funds matters, including the formation and ongoing operation of Luxembourg investment funds across a wide range of asset classes, such as private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate and impact funds.

He also has significant experience advising asset managers on Luxembourg downstream holding structures, the formation of joint ventures in the private capital sector and acquisitions of Luxembourg based companies involved in the asset management sector.

Laurent is qualified in Québec, Paris and Luxembourg and holds a law degree (LLB) from the University of Montreal. He joined the firm in 2015.

Experience

Representative matters

  • Optimum Asset Management, on the formation of a Luxembourg-based strategic EUR 800 million joint venture with Blackstone regarding an investment in a portfolio of German real estate assets comprised of 30 residential and commercial properties.
  • TMF Group, on its acquisition of Selectra Management Company, a Luxembourg-based regulated fund management company servicing both AIFs and UCITS, from asset management company Farad Group.
  • EFG Fund Management, on its sale to KB Associates, a Dublin-based fund and asset management services firm.
