Luke advises corporate trustees and agency providers on their roles across the spectrum of debt capital markets, Islamic finance and banking transactions. 
Luke acts on new financings and post-issue matters including: liability management transactions; exercises of trustee powers, duties and discretions; complex restructurings; defaults, restructurings and liquidations; and litigation matters involving trustees. Luke also regularly advises trust and agency providers, account banks and custodians on large scale documentary review projects, and has extensive experience of the use of legal technology solutions to deliver such projects.

  • The trustees and agents on the majority of the European CLO 2.0 transactions and related originator financing and warehouse structures.
  • The trustees of various commercial real estate backed bank and bond financings.
  • The trustee on the EUR5bn EMTN programme in relation to the default and related corporate insolvency of Portugal Telecom.
  • The security agent on the USD5bn restructuring of a European telecoms company.
  • The trustees on various UK and Pan-European residential mortgage backed bridge financings and securitisations.
  • The facility agents and security agents on various aircraft finance transactions, including numerous ECA backed financings.
  • Various trustees on part 8 applications to the English High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
