Natalie advises funders and sponsors on all aspects of project development, including commercial contract negotiations and project financing.  

Natalie works across the deal cycle on development, acquisition, divestment, disposal and funding, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure projects in the offshore wind and energy transition sectors. During her time at the firm, Natalie has been seconded to Corio Generation Limited and has spent time at the firm’s offices in Paris and Perth, Western Australia.

Representative matters

  • Northvolt on the financing for the expansion of its up to 60GWh world scale integrated battery manufacturing and recycling facility in Sweden.
  • A renewable energy company on the construction arrangements and sale (and related purchaser financing arrangements) of a 50% stake in the 605.2MW Greater Changhua 1 offshore wind project in Taiwan (which includes subsea transmission arrangements). Awarded “Asia-Pacific Deal of the Year” at PFI Awards 2022 and “Renewables & Energy Transition Asia-Pacific Deal of the Year” at IJ Investor Awards 2021.
  • Corio Generation Limited (secondee legal counsel) on all aspects of offshore wind project development, with a focus on early stage partnership, joint bidding, auction and M&A processes across a broad range of markets including the US, Brazil, Norway and the UK.
  • The lenders in relation to the financing of the acquisition of a 50% stake from a renewable energy company in the 1.3GW Hornsea Two Offshore Wind Farm. Winner of M&A Deal of the Year 2022, PFI 2023.
  • The pathfinder ECAs and lenders on the first of a kind world-scale 1m+ tpa Helios green hydrogen and ammonia project (including solar and wind generation) in Saudi Arabia.
