Nick has extensive experience in a wide range of finance transactions, with particular specialization in leveraged finance (including TLB, unitranche and bank financing) and acquisition focused project finance, acting for both sponsors and arrangers.

Prior to A&O Shearman, Nick was a senior associate at Allens, and prior to that worked in-house for a financial institution.

Nick’s particular experience at A&O Shearman includes advising a consortium of credit funds bidding for the corporate financing for Star Entertainment Group, advising lenders on the financing for Advent International’s acquisition of Zimmermann, advising an international infrastructure group on its financing and delivery of mobile towers in the Philippines, and acting for (and for the financiers to) a number of mid to large private equity sponsors in the Australian market.

  • GIP across various acquisitions and investments including QCLNG, Gladstone LNG and Pluto Train 2 (previous firm experience).
  • KKR and its consortium partners to finance the take-private acquisition of Spark Infrastructure (previous firm experience).
  • PEP to finance various acquisitions, including the acquisition and ultimate diverstment of LifeHealthCare (previous firm experience).
  • Financiers to TPG in relation to various transactions, including Novotech and Funlabs (previous firm experience).
  • Financiers to QPE in relation to various transactions, including QMS Media and TGI Sports (previous firm experience).
