He acts for companies (both publicly listed and private) on all aspects of employee equity incentives, including design, the tax and cost implications, shareholder communication, corporate governance and best practice. Paul has extensive corporate transactional experience and advises on share plan issues arising from IPOs, mergers and acquisitions.
He also deals with high level recruitment and terminations. He has specialised in this area for over 27 years, and has acted for many companies extending their employee share plans internationally. Paul also advises on (i) the establishment, operation and tax implications of limited liability partnerships; (ii) the FCA's corporation governance and remuneration codes and the PRA's remuneration code.
He is a regular speaker at conferences and contributes to publications on employee share incentives. He is a member of the Share Schemes Lawyers Group.
