Catie provides strategic advice and consulting support on a broad range of business, legal and compliance transformation projects.

Catie has led the business transformation practice within Consulting by A&O Shearman since 2019. She assists in a wide range of transformation areas including pre and post merger support, functional transformation including legal and compliance functions, designing and operationalizing KPIs, and developing, updating, and implementing strategies and operating models to achieve business objectives.

She is widely recognized for employing her extensive in-house, legal service provider and consulting experiences to provide practical and proportionate assistance for transformation projects of all sizes and scale. Catie is based in A&O Shearman’s New York office and is a member of the senior leadership team.

Catie has worked as a business executive and legal professional for more than 25 years across all geographies, industries and sectors. In all of her endeavours, Catie drives desired outcomes using a combination of executive leadership, business acumen, functional expertise, technology and data, process innovation and right resources for right tasks.

Assisting a leading materials testing company to integrate companies and surpass synergy targets after its largest-ever acquisition.

Assisting a Middle Eastern regulatory body to develop a new legal strategy aligned to strategic business objectives, a new target operating model, and a detailed implementation roadmap, factoring a benchmark of similarly situated legal functions and industry best practices.

Designing a legal and compliance KPIs and reporting program within a global asset manager to demonstrate value delivered by the function, utilize data to inform decision-making and better manage business risk.

Implementing an AI-focused contract management platform for a global fund administrator.

Designing and implementing a new target operating model for the legal and compliance function at a leading materials testing company.

Developing group level, cross-functional RACI charts for a global materials testing company.

Conducting legal stakeholder interviews for a U.S. clean energy company; developing a summary findings report with recommendations for developing a optimal legal function aligned with business strategy and objectives.
