Michelle is Head of APAC Governance and Regulatory Compliance and advises clients on risk, compliance and governance matters.

She has spent more than 15 years working across a number of corporate and regulatory legal teams.

Michelle previously worked at Westpac Bank where she led the Risk Governance function, accountable for the effective and efficient management of risk committees to support Westpac’s compliance with regulatory/prudential obligations. Other roles at Westpac include advising on the bank’s response to the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.

In her former roles and as a consultant, Michelle worked directly with C-suite and senior management on organisational responses to emerging regulatory issues including conduct risk, breach reporting, executive accountability, data ethics and organisational culture. She has also been involved in a number of regulatory change and transformation projects.
