Allen Overy advises BIP on the acquisition of Verco

Allen & Overy has advised BIP, a multinational consultancy company, on the acquisition of Verco, a UK company active in the energy and sustainability sector providing zero CO2 emission solutions to organisations operating in several sectors, including industrial, public, retail and real estate.

Verco is a B Corp. company that supports businesses to reduce their environmental impact through net zero strategies and “data-driven” transition plans. BIP reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and climate change by enriching its network of strategic partners with international experience. The more than 80 Verco professionals will join the experts from BIP’s Sustainability Centre of Excellence to offer a more integrated service for the protection and preservation of society and the environment.

The operation is part of the broader non-organic growth strategy of the BIP Group, which aims to expand its geographical coverage, its offering of cutting-edge technologies, and the international skills and talents on the global market.

The Allen & Overy team, alongside BIP, was led by Corporate partner Paolo Nastasi, assisted by associates Enrico Roveda and Davide Cinefra and by trainee Chiara Basile Baldassarre from the Milan office, as well as partner Harsh Pais, counsel Gareth Banfield and associates Andrew Pang and Frederic Pilkington of the London office.
