A&O Shearman advises One Trading on its license application for the First Crypto OTF in Europe

In an unprecedented international collaboration, an A&O Shearman team, comprised of experts from Dutch, British, and German offices, has successfully advanced the license application for One Trading.

This marks a significant milestone in the development of One Trading, which is now the first trading venue for cryptocurrency perpetual futures in Europe.

The A&O Shearman team pooled its comprehensive expertise in financial regulation, technology, and international business law to assist One Trading in navigating the complex regulatory environment. The close cooperation of the various national teams enabled the development of a tailored strategy that meets the specific requirements and challenges of the European crypto market.

The granting of the license will allow One Trading to offer institutional and private investors a regulated and secure trading platform for cryptocurrency-based products. This represents an important advancement for the legitimization and integration of cryptocurrencies into the European financial system. With the increasing acceptance of digital currencies and the growing demand for regulated trading platforms, One Trading is positioning itself at the forefront of this innovative industry.

One Trading, formerly known as Bitpanda Pro, is an emerging company in the field of cryptocurrencies, aiming to make trading in digital assets safer, more transparent, and more accessible. With the sought-after licensing as a crypto OTF, One Trading aspires to take a leading role in the European cryptocurrency landscape.
