EUR500 million mortgage covered bond issuance by UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, with A&O Shearman advising

A&O Shearman is pleased to announce that it has advised UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia on the issuance of EUR500m mortgage covered bonds issued under its EUR10 billion mortgage covered bond programme and placed with international investors.

The issuance follows the successful annual update of UniCredit Bank’s mortgage covered bond programme, on which our team also provided advisory services.

The transaction was managed by a cross-border team of A&O Shearman’s Prague and Frankfurt offices. The team was led by partner Petr Vybíral, who heads the finance practice in the Czech Republic, along with senior associate Tomáš Kafka and junior lawyer Jan Tocik. The German law aspects of the transaction were handled by partner Stefan Henkelmann, counsel Jens Nollmann and associate Florian Seck.

Commenting on the transaction Petr Vybíral said: ”We are delighted to have once again advised UniCredit on their international mortgage covered bonds issuances. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the client’s team for their continued trust in our advice and services.”
