Allen & Overy advises Alderan on its investment in Club Med Les Boucaniers in Martinique

Allen & Overy has advised Alderan on the acquisition from Club Med on a share sale and lease back of Club Med Les Boucaniers in Sainte-Anne, Martinique, in partnership with Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and the Monplaisir Group.

Alderan carried out this transaction on May 10, 2023, through its Vadora II investment fund dedicated to the tourism and leisure sector. The "Club Med Les Boucaniers" operation is the first emblematic step of the investment and development project pursued by the Vadora II fund.

This investment by Alderan aims to support the renovation and extension of this tourist flagship of the French West Indies, a project which reinforces the international attractiveness of Martinique, contributing to job creation and following a strong environmental logic through BREEAM certification in eco-construction and GreenGlobe in operation.

The Allen & Overy team in Paris was composed of partner Jean-Dominique Casalta, senior associate Corentin Dolivet and associate Valentine Henry on corporate law aspects (shareholders’ agreement, preferred shares) and real estate aspects (commercial lease and contracts related to the renovation), partner Guillaume Valois and senior associate Charlotte Signol on tax aspects, as well as partner Antoine Sarailler and associate Romane Chéry on investment fund aspects.
