A&O Shearman advised Africa Global Logistics (AGL) and its subsidiary Congo Terminal, the exclusive concessionaire for container and ro-ro vessel handling at the Autonomous Port of Pointe-Noire, on a EUR230 million financing for the expansion of the container terminal at the Autonomous Port of Pointe Noire.

This financing will enable the construction of a new 750-meter linear quay by 2027. This strategic investment, totaling EUR361m, aims to enhance the operational capacity of Congo's sole maritime outlet and support the economic development of the country and the sub-region.

Congo Terminal is a joint venture between AGL, APM Terminals, and SOCOTRANS, and is recognized as a company of national importance by the Banking Commission of Central Africa.

The A&O Shearman team is led by partner Amine Bourabiat, with senior associate Dorian Le and Ludmila Faïd on the project financing.
