A&O Shearman advised Conrac Solutions and Meridiam in connection with the new USD299 million consolidated rental car facility at Nevada’s Reno-Tahoe International Airport. When completed, Conrac Solutions, a leading U.S. consolidated airport rent-a-car facility financier, developer, and operator, will lease and operate the new 440,220-square-foot, four-level, ConRAC facility over a 30-year period.

Accessed by a terminal walkway constructed as part of the project, the new center will fundamentally transform the rental car and ground transportation experience at Reno-Tahoe International Airport and promote a streamlined customer experience and increased efficiency for travelers. The facility will house all rental car brands with 24 fueling stations, six car washes, three maintenance bays, and more than 300 staging and storage bays. This project also incorporates a number of forward-thinking sustainable features and accommodations to further energy transition at the facility, such as the transition to electric rental car fleets.

Kent Rowey, A&O Shearman lead partner and global co-head of Projects, Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure (PENRI), said: “The partnership between Conrac Solutions and A&O Shearman has yielded a significant enhancement to the infrastructure and customer experience at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. A&O Shearman’s expertise in the transportation infrastructure domain has been pivotal in this transformation and underscores our strong ability to provide specialized legal counsel. The new facility is a step forward in the airport's commitment to evolving and improving the travel experience for its patrons.”
