A&O Shearman advises Eiffel Investment Group on a decarbonization fund
A&O Shearman has advised the asset manager Eiffel Investment Group on the launch of the Île-de-France Decarbonization fund. This fund, initiated by the Île-de-France region, aims to finance future leaders in ecological transition within the region.

With a target of EUR150 million, the Île-de-France Decarbonization fund will support the development of approximately 20 innovative SMEs and mid-sized companies through individual investments ranging from three to ten million euros.

The fund brings together key players in the energy sector including GRDF, EDF (SAFIDI), SIGEIF, as well as leading institutional investors such as Bpifrance, Crédit Agricole Île-de-France, and COVEA.

To select and support the beneficiary companies in monitoring their non-financial performance, the fund incorporates several complementary ESG tools.

The Île-de-France Decarbonization fund relies on Eiffel Investment Group's expertise in financing ecological and energy transition. With over EUR7 billon under management, the company has already supported the development of more than 250 companies in the sector and financed more than 4,000 energy transition infrastructure projects.

The A&O Shearman team was composed of partner Antoine Sarailler, counsel Benjamin Lacourt, and associates Agathe Estramon and Roxane Gallais on fund and asset management aspects.
