A&O Shearman advises Mundys on the 2025 sustainability-linked term loan

A&O Shearman advises Mundys on the 2025 sustainability-linked term loan

On April 3, 2025, Mundys S.p.A., advised by A&O Shearman, successfully signed a new sustainability-linked term loan line of EUR550 million, with an amortizing profile and final maturity in October 2033.

The transaction – already announced by the company along with their 2024 financial results – aims to optimize the company's future refinancing needs, contributing to strengthening its financial profile. The credit line, together with the company's own financial resources, enabled the early repayment of the existing EUR753m term loan, which was due to mature in April 2026.

The financing was structured and underwritten by a pool of banks and financial institutions consisting of Cassa depositi e prestiti, Banco BPM, Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, BNP Paribas, BPER Banca, Banca Popolare di Sondrio, Crédit Agricole CIB, Intesa Sanpaolo, Mediobanca, and UniCredit.

The A&O Shearman team alongside Mundys in the transaction was led by partner Stefano Sennhauser, supported by associate Valentina Calò and trainee Benedetta Girotti. Counsel Elia Ferdinando Clarizia advised on tax aspects.
