A&O Shearman advises on CSX Corporation’s USD550 million Notes offering

A&O Shearman represented the underwriters led by Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and UBS Securities LLC in connection with CSX Corporation’s (“CSX”) public offering of USD550 million of its 4.900% Notes due 2055.

CSX is one of the nation’s leading transportation companies. CSX provides rail-based transportation services including traditional rail service, the transport of intermodal containers and trailers, as well as other transportation services such as rail-to-truck transfers and bulk commodity operations. The net proceeds from the sale of the notes will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include debt repayments, repurchases of CSX’s common stock, capital investment and working capital requirements.
