A&O Shearman advised Volkswagen AG in connection with its new syndicated revolving credit facility.

Volkswagen has successfully renewed its flexible, multicurrency revolving credit facility. The facility was increased from EUR10bn to EUR12.5bn and can be drawn in both EUR and USD. It has a term of five years with two one-year extension options.

By expanding its credit facility, Volkswagen is reinforcing its strong relationships with 44 core banking partners. This renewal reflects both the company's continued growth and its stepwise transformation, ensuring long-term financial flexibility.

The A&O Shearman team was led by counsel Dr Jan-Hendrik Bode and also included partners Thomas Neubaum (both Banking and Finance) and Dr Heike Weber (Tax) as well as associates Anastasiya-Evangelina Wiegand (Banking and Finance) and Niklas Kniess (Tax).
