A&O Shearman announces the appointment of three counsels in Italy
A&O Shearman continues growing its practice in Italy with the promotion of Sarah Capella, Francesca Croci, and Chiara De Luca to counsels, effective from May 1, 2025.

Sarah Capella has been with the Global Financial Markets department since 2010 and is primarily based in the Rome office. Sarah is qualified to practice in the United Kingdom and has been an established lawyer in Italy since 2015. She assists in a wide range of finance transactions, including the establishment and maintenance of financing platforms, infrastructure and acquisition finance transactions, and liability management exercises.

Francesca Croci joined the firm's Corporate department in 2012 and works in the Milan office. Francesca assists Italian and international clients with domestic and cross-border M&A transactions in a wide range of sectors, including industrial, healthcare, food, and people business, with a specific focus on transactions involving private equity funds.

Chiara De Luca has been with the firm's Corporate department since 2015 and works at both the Milan and Rome offices. Chiara is involved in M&A activities, assisting Italian and international clients in domestic and cross-border transactions of acquisition, sale, joint ventures, and reorganizations of national and international companies. Her work spans a wide range of industrial sectors, including food, life sciences, and energy-infrastructure, as well as regulated sectors, public M&A transactions, and private equity funds.

The promotion of Sarah, Francesca, and Chiara follows the recent appointment of Alessandra Pala as a partner in the Global Financial Markets practice.
