A&O Shearman strengthens global cybersecurity offering with addition of Andrew Tannenbaum

A&O Shearman today announced that Andrew Tannenbaum, currently the General Counsel of Barclays Execution Services, is set to join the firm early in 2025 as global co-head of Cybersecurity, based in New York. Andrew will lead the firm’s Cybersecurity team with fellow global co-head, Ffion Flockhart.

Andrew's arrival represents a further significant addition to our client offering in the U.S. and globally. With his deep experience across the financial services and tech sectors, as well as his significant government experience, Andrew joins a global team that brings together unrivalled expertise and depth. In his current role at Barclays, Andrew oversees the cyber legal function and knows first-hand the complexities of managing cyber risk in a highly regulated global organization.

Following prior roles as Chief Cybersecurity Counsel at IBM and Global Head of Cyber Legal at Barclays, as well as prominent U.S. government positions at the National Security Agency, the White House and the Department of Justice, Andrew said "I'm delighted to be joining A&O Shearman.
