Ailíse specialises in the energy and infrastructure sector, focusing primarily on project documents.

She has experience advising clients on a wide range of transactions, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, energy from waste, battery storage, hydrogen and green steel projects. Ailíse has also advised on electricity and gas regulations, with a specific focus on the electricity grid.

Before joining the London team, Ailíse was based in the Belfast office, where she worked on a range of transactions across various sectors, including banking, corporate, litigation and real estate.

During her time in the Belfast office, Ailíse was involved in large-scale due diligence projects and led teams comprised of junior members. She also completed secondments to clients and lengthy secondments to the London office.

Representative matters

A renewable energy company on the development, financing and sale of a 50% stake in the 605.2MW Greater Changhua 1 offshore wind project in Taiwan.

Masdar on the acquisition of a 49% stake in Dogger Bank South, a UK Round 4 offshore wind farm project.

Masdar on its majority acquisition and joint venture arrangements with respect to Arlington Battery Storage Systems Group.

The lenders and ECAs on a giga-scale hydrogen and green steel project in Europe.

Investors on their bid to acquire a pre-development portfolio of gas peaker generation plants and battery storage projects in UK (including on the PPA, grid connection and capacity market arrangements) from the founder-sellers.
