Clare offers extensive expertise in advising on legal risk affecting cross-border loan market transactions.
She investigates English law legal and market developments in the loan markets and works collaboratively with colleagues across our firm’s network to analyse, and advise on, legal developments affecting the loan markets in the UK and Europe. Clare produces internal thinking for our leading finance practice and communicates the implications to our teams and clients, developing policies, precedents and practice notes for our expert transactional lawyers as well as designing and delivering training both for clients and our lawyers. Based in Frankfurt, she also coordinates the firm’s European banking Knowledge Lawyers group which considers developments in law and market practice in the EU loan markets and develops internal thinking on changes in law. As a senior associate in the banking department in Amsterdam Clare worked on a wide range of transactions in project finance, leveraged finance and global loans and advised on a number of secured lending transactions in developing markets including South America. Clare also has extensive experience in cross-border asset and structured finance primarily in the aviation sector.
