Daisy advises on all aspects of employment law.

She has experience acting for employers in disputes with current and former employees, including in the Employment Tribunal, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the High Court. Daisy also has experience conducting investigations into sensitive workplace conduct issues and helps clients to navigate employment issues arising in connection with corporate transactions.

Daisy has a particular interest in diversity and inclusion and is involved in several of the firm’s initiatives. Daisy recently contributed to the Employment Lawyers Association’s response to the FCA’s and PRA’s discussion paper on “Diversity and Inclusion in the Financial Sector”.

Representative Contentious Experience

Successfully defending a financial services client in highly complex claims relating to multiple allegations of race and disability discrimination and whistleblowing detriment. The final hearing was listed for more than 30 days.

Representing a global pharmaceutical company on a senior hire from a competitor, including related High Court litigation.

Representing a fintech business in the pursuit of claims for misuse of confidential information in the High Court.

Conducting investigations into allegations of bullying and harassment on behalf of a global bank.

Successfully defending global banks in applications for interim relief.

Representing a global food and beverage company in successfully defending an application for interim relief. The final hearing was listed for 30 days (previous firm experience) Successfully defending an AIM-listed biotechnology company in a claim of automatically unfair dismissal brought by a former executive (previous firm experience).

Representing an operator of retail fuel sites on the acquisition of 27 retail fuel sites, associated forecourt convenience shops and foodservice/beverage offerings across the UK.

Representing a multinational consumer goods company on the sale of a key brand and related sub-brands.

Representing a real estate investment group on the acquisition of a holiday park.

Advising a global media and entertainment company on the international employment aspects of one of the biggest media mergers of all time (previous firm experience).

Advising a global pharmaceutical company on its multi-billion-euro acquisition of an emerging digital technology company (previous firm experience).

Advising a global information technology company on its billion-dollar acquisition of a supercomputer manufacturer (previous firm experience).

Advising a global technology company on the implementation of a self-identification programme in over 100 jurisdictions (previous firm experience).

Pro bono

Advising several charities on employment-related issues.

Working with a charity to prepare guidelines for lawyers on the mindful conduct of transactions.

Advising a human rights charity on a guide to the law for Members of Parliament.

Presenting training sessions to young people on various topics, including discrimination and consent.
