Emilio advises on a wide range of project agreements and transaction documents with a special focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Emilio has actively worked in several M&A and project finance transactions, both national and international, as well as in the drafting and negotiation of project contracts related to the energy and infrastructures sector, including EPC agreements, O&M agreements, PPAs and supply agreements.

Emilio works with national and international clients across different jurisdictions, including developers of renewable projects, IPPs, utilities, financing entities and investment funds.

Representative matters

  • A public petroleum and natural gas company on the joint venture with Petronor (A multinational energy and petrochemical company) to develop and built a green hydrogen demo plant for production of e-fuels in Muskiz (Spain), including advising in the project agreements in relation therewith.
  • A syndicate of banks on the €2.3 billion long-term refinancing of Finerge’s portfolio of 1.6 GW of existing onshore wind and solar operations in Portugal and Spain and the development of a portfolio of circa 560 MW of new renewable projects.
  • Bruc Energy in the drafting and negotiation of EPC and O&M agreements in connection with a portfolio of approximately 1.5 GWh.
  • The Sponsor on the drafting and negotiation of different financial PPAs with Pfizer, Inc.
  • The sponsor in connection with the drafting and negotiation of a financial PPA with an internationally positioned automotive supplier in respect of the power generated by different PV projects in Spain.
