Josh has wide-ranging asset finance expertise within the shipping, offshore, aviation, super yacht and rail markets, with a particular focus on the maritime industry.

He has experience advising a variety of industry participants, including lenders, export credit agencies, owners, managers and charterers, on a range of vessel acquisitions and disposals, sale and leaseback arrangements, debt financings, and a variety of general commercial, management and registration matters for a wide range of assets.

Experience

Representative matters

  • The project company on the procurement (both construction and chartering), sale and leaseback financing of a fleet of ice–class LNG carriers, encompassing advice on both the sale and leaseback charter based financings of certain vessels, the negotiation of the ship building contracts for a total of 21 Arc7 LNG carriers.  
  • A number of lenders and export credit agencies on the financing of numerous cruise ships for first class international operators, including the implementation of COVID-19 relief measures.  
  • Excelerate Energy on the terminal use, charter, port services, EPC and limited recourse financing arrangements in respect of two FSRU based floating regasification terminals in Bangladesh.  
  • APM Terminals on the financing of two container terminals in Europe and Africa.
