Linda maintains a diverse practice in banking and finance. 
She is a multilingual and dually qualified civil law and common law lawyer who advises clients on the laws of the UAE, including the laws of the UAE’s financial free zones, the Dubai International Financial Centre and the Abu Dhabi Global Market. Linda’s practice includes advising global financial institutions on enforceability matters relating to the entry into derivative transactions with regional counterparties. She also acts for both lenders and borrowers in the context of regional and cross-border lending transactions.

  • A global financial institution on the enforceability of netting and collateral arrangements with counterparties established in the UAE free zones.
  • A global financial institution on the enforceability of the close-out, netting and set-off provisions of New York law futures and options agreement in the ADGM.
  • A global financial institution on the enforceability of futures and options clearing agreement with entities established in the DMCC.

Pro bono

  • Contributed to the World Bank’s 2022 Report on Women, Business and the Law.
