Expertise

Experience

Representative matters

  • Amulti-jurisdictional survey of over 150 jurisdictions, instructed by a high profile multinational technology client in respect of the launch of new services on one of its platforms. The Project Management team provided extensive, full management support and worked closely with Advanced Delivery Legal and Legal Tech to execute the survey.
  • Two concurrent commercial (UNCITRAL) construction arbitrations and a (Dutch bond) litigation for one of the largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies in the World. A full project management service (excluding financial management) was provided to assist a large team spanning the firm’s Frankfurt and Amsterdam offices, as well as Advanced Delivery Legal. Louise worked closely with the lead associate to create detailed timelines for significant work streams leading up to key filing deadlines.
  • The demerger of a digital transformation and cybersecurity provider, where numerous interlocking steps were required to be completed within a very tight timeframe following a ‘first of its kind’ legal structure.
  • Three major, inter-related energy arbitrations run by a team of arbitrators from the firm’s Frankfurt, Munich, London and Paris offices, on behalf of a multinational energy company. Louise worked closely with the client and the legal team to set-up a detailed work plan, driving discussions around team roles, responsibilities and structure; best working practices; communications protocols; and interaction with co-counsel.
  • Prior to joining Project Management, Louise was a senior associate in the firm’s International Arbitration Group for 6 years. A solicitor advocate of the higher courts of England & Wales, Louise’s experience spanned international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, commercial litigation, mediation, settlement and general disputes advisory work. She provided advice to corporates, banks, States and high-net-worth individuals across a variety of jurisdictions and sectors (including energy, pharmaceuticals, construction and finance).

Pro bono

  • Louise has undertaken work on a number of pro bono matters, notably leading an appeal to the Privy Council in relation to a non-capital Jamaican criminal case and representing JUSTICE as a third party intervener in the Supreme Court.
