Marianne advises on a range of debt and structured finance transactions, including general corporate lending, trade and commodity finance, fund finance and acquisition finance deals, particularly those involving multiple jurisdictions and emerging markets.
She works with major international clients including financial services, energy, industrials, chemicals, technology and many more. Marianne has practiced for over 20 years in three jurisdictions and, besides to banking, she has also experience in a wide range of international commercial and corporate finance transactions in a variety of sectors.

Experience

Representative matters

  • A syndicate of banks in connection with a USD200m secured borrowing base facility for ED&F Man and various amendments (including in the context of the borrower’s USD1.5billion restructuring). The transaction was awarded Restructuring Deal of the Year by IFLR Europe Awards in May 2023.
  • A syndicate of banks in connection with a GBP2.5bn syndicated sustainability-linked revolving facility agreement for a major British retailer.
  • Polestar in connection with an inaugural EUR340m and USD583.5m syndicated term loan facility.
  • A major bank in connection with a USD100m funded participation to a USD1.2bn prepayment facility relating to an oil and gas asset in Brazil.
  • An international lender in relation to a USD26,230,000 letter of credit facility agreement to Altamesa Energy Canada Inc and Altamesa Energy Peru S.A.C. in support of the development of Block 192 in Peru.
