Michael, Dr. and LL.M. oec. int., regularly advises on complex national and cross-border real estate and real estate related M&A transactions. 

Besides the sale and purchase of real estate portfolios and individual properties (by way of asset or share deals), this includes in particular the structuring and implementation of joint ventures, club deals, and management agreements, and also ongoing corporate and regulatory advice. In addition, Michael advises on special situations concerning (institutional) investors, fund and asset managers, as well as fund structures in general.

Furthermore, he advises national and international organizations on all matters regarding corporate law with a focus on limited liability company and limited partnership law as well as group and transformation law. Michael is a member of our Alternative Investments Group.

Luxembourg fund set-up and managed by Universal-Investment for Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK) on the acquisition of Zalando’s Berlin headquarters.

LS Invest AG and Spanish Lopesan group on the disposal of a hotel and clinic portfolio to Spanish Azora group via property purchase agreements and separate business purchase agreements as share and asset deals.

Luxembourg funds set-up and managed by Universal-Investment for Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK) on the acquisition of a city quarter in Frankfurt am Main via forward purchase (share deal) with forward funding.

CORESTATE CAPITAL Group on various real estate acquisitions and disposals (portfolios and single assets) as well as joint venture, club deal and fund structures.

Luxembourg fund set-up and managed by Prime Capital on parallel acquisition of a German highstreet real estate portfolio, two German student homes, and a further German shopping centre via share and unit deal from different fund and joint-venture structures.

Optimum Asset Management on the formation of a strategic joint venture with Blackstone regarding a portfolio of German residential and commercial Properties.
