Michael Kim
Michael advises clients across a wide range of capital markets transactions, including U.S. initial public offerings, direct listings, follow-on offerings, secondary offerings, at-the-market offerings, equity-linked offerings, private placements and other public and private equity and debt transactions.
Michael also advises on U.S. securities regulation, reporting and related matters.

Prior to joining A&O Shearman, Michael was a Managing Director and Head of the Americas Capital Markets Legal group at Morgan Stanley, where he led the team of institutional capital markets lawyers in New York. At Morgan Stanley, Michael advised the firm on a number of the most innovative and consequential equity capital markets transactions of the time, including the IPOs of Airbnb, Alibaba, Facebook, General Motors and Uber, as well as the direct listing of Spotify.
