Nick advises a range of leading fund managers and institutional investors on the structuring, offering and management of funds, joint ventures and managed accounts.
This includes all forms of co-investment structures, continuation funds and secondary transactions.  He also advises fund managers on their regulatory and commercial arrangements including carried interest and team co-investment arrangements and team and manager acquisitions. 
He covers the full range of asset classes and has particular focus on real estate (core, value-add and opportunistic), private credit (direct lending and special situations), infrastructure, energy and private equity. 
Nick is ranked as a leading individual in Legal 500 and clients are quoted as recognising that Nick is ‘fast off the mark, always calm, pleasant, and on top of the detail’ (Legal 500, Investment Funds).

Experience

Representative matters

Hines on a wide range of real estate fund establishment and joint venture transactions, including all the funds in their value fund series, raising over Euro 3.5bn in investor commitments, as well as their multi-billion sized pan-European core open-ended fund.  
Cain International on its Real Estate Opportunity Fund 1 and its joint ventures in UK logistics assets and UK student housing assets. 
Telemos Capital on its first two private equity funds, raising over Euro 1.25bn in aggregate.
SMBC on its two joint ventures with Park Square Capital for unitranche direct lending, aggregating over Euro 4bn
IFC Asset Management on the establishment of its USD1.2bn global infrastructure fund and its USD1bn Africa, Latin America and Caribbean private equity fund.
