Prabhjot advises a broad range of investors, owners, occupiers and lenders on all aspects of commercial real estate, including sales and purchases of direct and indirect real estate investments, real estate joint ventures, real estate debt financings, site assemblies and redevelopment, energy and high value landlord and tenant work.

His practice covers numerous asset classes including prime offices, data centres, care homes, retail parks, purpose built student accommodation, self-storage, airports, wind farms and pubs both as single-asset transactions and large multi-jurisdictional and multi-asset portfolio deals.
 
Prabhjot’s experience encompasses high value and highly complex real estate matters such as advising on the £800 million real estate debt financing of over 5,000 railway arches, the £600 million development financing of a hyperscale data centre in south east England, and the £330 million asset acquisition of a portfolio of 370 pubs.
 
Prabhjot is a mental health ally for the firm. He has volunteered in a number of pro-bono and community schemes including Tonybee Hal and supporting our charity of the year partner AMREF on a person week long trip to Tanzania.

Representative matters

  • A major pensions insurance specialist as a consortium lender on the £800 million refinancing of a portfolio of approximately 5,000 properties, the majority of which are railway arches.
  • A leading US investment bank as lender on the £600 million development financing in respect of hyperscale data centre campus in South east England.
  • A Thai banking giant on the £1.7 billion financing of a flagship Oxford Street store, former hotel and multi story car park.
  • A US Private Equity fund as buyer on the £348 million asset purchase of 370 properties comprising pubs and other commercial properties including strategic oversight of third party professional advisors, putting in place a JV structure and asset management and property management agreements, the subsequent back to back sales of part of the portfolio and real estate debt financing. 
  • A US real estate investment management company on several financings as borrower including the £20 million acquisition and development financing of the Clockwork Building, Hammersmith.
  • A European REIT buyer on its first purchase of a portfolio of UK care homes and leasebacks of the care homes. The portfolio consisted of three nursing and care homes of prime quality in the East and South-East of England with 196 beds.
  • A major telecommunications company on the sale and leaseback of its UK portfolio of assets, including advice related to telecommunications code rights and telecommunications fixtures and fittings and drafting the master lease for use across the portfolio of properties including specific consideration for development sites and buy back rights.
  • A major insurance company on the £520 million sale of its brokered commercial insurance unit.
  • Several private equity funds on the purchase, letting, on going management and eventual sale of high end commercial assets. 

Pro bono

  • Advising Oxford House, a community art space in Bethnal Green, on a landlord and tenant matter.
  • Supervision of trainee advice for submission via Toynbee Hall advice centre.
  • Supporting our charity of the year partner AMREF on a in person week long trip to Tanzania followed by input into a bespoke Advocacy Toolkit for the charity.
