Richard is recognised by clients as a rising star in dispute resolution.

Richard represents corporations and private clients in their high stake matters at trial and on appeal, as well as before supreme and constitutional court, in internal investigations, and before government enforcers, including various state ministries, antimonopoly office, regulatory office for network industries, gambling regulatory office, attorney general, public prosecutors and police investigators. Notably versatile, Richard has a particularly deep focus on litigation cases and investigations involving general civil and commercial matters, antitrust and competition, unfair competition, intellectual property, life sciences, energy and utilities, technology and gaming, environment, retail, foodstuffs, employment, and criminal law representation.

Richard is also a core member of the A&O Shearman's task force focused on EU consumer class actions and has – himself – been involved in a number of Slovak class action cases. Having an academic background, Richard has recently co-authored a legal commentary on the Slovak Commercial Code, and has penned topics covering unfair competition, in particular focusing on both the 'general clause' of unfair competition and enforcement of damages, unjust enrichment, and non-pecuniary damage. In addition, Richard teaches 'negotiation class' as an external lecturer at the Comenius University in Bratislava and is a regular contributor to legal journals where he publishes articles on Slovak civil procedural law and Slovak and EU antitrust/competition and company law.
