Her experience includes acting for sponsors and lenders on transactions across multiple jurisdictions, with expertise in new energy technologies (including green and blue hydrogen, green ammonia, sustainable aviation fuel, carbon capture use and storage), nuclear, and renewable energy, as well as in water, road, port, and airport projects.

Senem was recently seconded to NNB Generation Company where she assisted with a variety of projects, including Sizewell C.

  • The sponsor on the development and construction of the GBP22bn Xlinks Morocco–UK power interconnector project (including renewable generation).
  • The ECAs and lenders on the first of a kind utility-scale 1m+ tpa Helios green hydrogen and ammonia project (including renewable generation) in KSA, which incorporated the world’s first large-scale green ammonia offtake contract.
  • The sponsor on the development and financing of a blue hydrogen project, including UK’s hydrogen business model support with DESNZ, and hydrogen offtake and CO2 transport & storage network arrangements.
  • Sizewell C on the construction of the GBP22bn Sizewell C nuclear plant project in the UK.
