A&O Shearman appoints Sarah Wilson as Bangkok office managing partner

A&O Shearman has appointed Sarah Wilson as the office managing partner for Bangkok, effective April 1.

Sarah succeeds Suparerk Auychai, who is retiring from the partnership and will continue to work with the firm as a consultant. Suparerk also serves as head of the office corporate practice, and he will be succeeded in that role by Noparat Kaewsringarm.

Sarah joined legacy Allen & Overy in 2007 and has been a partner since 2019. She specializes in project finance transactions in the power and infrastructure sectors across ASEAN and the wider Asia Pacific region, as well as broader financing transactions in Thailand. In her new role, Sarah will focus on leading A&O Shearman’s operations in Thailand and continuing to deliver high-quality service to its clients.

“It's an exciting time to take on the role of office managing partner for Bangkok, especially as our Thai clients continue to expand into new sectors and markets. Over the past 27 years, we have achieved remarkable success in Thailand, and this is thanks to all of our past partners and staff and the support of our domestic and foreign clients, who have allowed us to assist with their most critical matters. I look forward to working with our team to achieve continued success and strengthen our ASEAN presence."
