Alann Le Guillou advises clients across all sectors, with a specific focus on private capital, financial institutions, asset management and real estate on a wide range of corporate law matters with particular expertise on (both domestic and cross-border) private and public mergers & acquisitions, joint-ventures and the establishment and operation of Luxembourg investment platforms for alternative investment managers.

Alann’s practice also includes equity capital markets related work (tender offers, initial public offerings and issuing of equity and debt securities).

Prior to joining our Luxembourg office in 2021 as Counsel in the Corporate and M&A team, Alann worked for 7 years as senior associate in the corporate and M&A practice of White & Case LLP in Paris and 18 months as Counsel in the corporate and M&A practice of Norton Rose Fulbright LLP in Paris, where he gained significant experience in capital markets and financing transactions in addition to working on corporate matters.

  • A global multi-strategy alternative investment manager on the establishment and operation of its Luxembourg investment platforms.
  • The asset management arm of a multinational financial services institution on the establishment and operation of its Luxembourg investment platforms.
  • A French bank in the context of the contemplated sale of a Luxembourg based business (2023/2024). 
  • A key player among management companies in Luxembourg in the context of its sale to a French based investment fund (2021/2024).
  • Several financing institutions in the context of the restructuring of their receivables against Orpea, a French residential care group (2023/2024).
  • An alternative asset fund management group on its acquisition of a key player on cybersecurity, secure networks and secure cloud solutions in Switzerland (2022).
  • A private equity firm on the acquisition of an on-line gaming business (2022).
  • An alternative asset fund management group on its acquisition of a leading independent manufacturer of niche active pharmaceutical ingredients in Germany (2022).
