Alex works both on standalone commercial matters and advises on IP, data protection and commercial aspects of M&A transactions. Alex has also previously seconded to the firm’s Dubai office.

  • Dorilton Capital Management on the acquisition of the Williams Formula One team (Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited).
  • An investor on its acquisition of Newcastle United Football Club from St James Holdings.
  • A multinational telecommunications company on its GBP31.4bn joint venture with Telefónica to merge Virgin Media and O2’s fixed, broadband and mobile businesses in the UK.
  • Marks & Spencer on its acquisition of Gist Limited the principal contract logistics provider to M&S Food.
  • A group telecommunications companies on the technology services agreements required in connection with a joint venture between LG, Telefónica and InfraVia Capital Partners to build a new fibre network to up to 7 million homes in the UK.
  • Exponent on the IP, technology, and data aspects of its acquisition of a specialty ingredients business headquartered in the US, and ongoing commercial arrangements between the acquired company and the seller.
  • Haleon plc on the IP, data protection and commercial arrangements for its divestiture of its Lamisil brand across 70+ jurisdictions to Karo Healthcare AB for an aggregate consideration of GBP 235m.
  • Virgin Atlantic on its solvent recapitalisation following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global aviation industry.
