Andrew advises sponsors, borrowers and funders (including banks, debt funds, ECAs and DFIs) in relation to the development, acquisition, financing and refinancing of energy and infrastructure assets including offshore wind, solar, grid and smart metering assets, digital infrastructure including data centres and network towers, and transport infrastructure including airports, ports and rail.
Andrew has experience advising on all stages of the project lifecycle including joint venture and shareholder agreements, project financings, portfolio, platform and other refinancings, and acquisition financings and restructurings.

  • Frankfurt-based data centre developer, maincubes, in connection with EUR 685m of committed development facilities plus an uncommitted EUR350m accordion facility.
  • IFC, EBRD, AIIB, DEG and Proparco on financing the development and operations of a major new container terminal at Damietta Port in Egypt.
  • Leading global data centre operator Edgeconnex on its USD 3.3bn sustainability-linked platform financing (Distinction - IJ Global Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year 2023).
  • Macquarie Asset Management on the structuring of its up to USD 325m investment in a developer of green nitrogen fertiliser plants.
  • A global financial institution in connection with the financing to IFM Investors of its EUR 5.06bn public offer for 22.69% of the shares in Naturgy.
  • The Lenders to Evergrow, an Egyptian fertiliser manufacturer, on its USD 400m debt restructuring and additional development financing under both conventional and Ijara facilities.
  • Four major DFIs on the EUR 400m financing of a concession for the development and operation of Belgrade Airport (IJ Global European Airports Deal of the Year 2018).
