Dorothee specialises in advising investment fund managers, institutional investors, asset managers as well as open and closed-end fund vehicles in Germany and abroad.

She has extensive experience in advising on the increasingly important regulatory aspects in connection with the set-up, structuring and management of funds and their acquisition targets as well as in fund due diligence and the regulation of fund managers and institutional investors. She also specialises in structuring funds with respect to sustainability aspects. On the asset side, Dorothee focusses on real estate and other alternative investments.

Dorothee heads the German Funds and Asset Management practice.

  • Client on the structuring of an investment fund for the real estate asset class that is eligible for the participation quota.
  • Client on the regulatory assessment of the sale and repayment of an existing bond and loan financing of a sub-portfolio of 24 residential properties in Japan.
  • A fund on the transfer of its target investment to an Alternative Investment Vehicle (AIV).
  • Client (on behalf of a real estate special fund) on regulatory issues in connection with the planned refinancing of a commercial property located in the USA.
  • Client on the sale of a privatization portfolio in the Netherlands, which is held by a Luxembourg fund.
  • Client (on behalf of a real estate special fund) on regulatory issues in connection with the planned refinancing of a shopping center located in Taiwan.
  • Client (on behalf of an infrastructure fund) on the review of a target fund investment and the negotiation of a side letter according to the legal requirements of the participation quota pursuant to the Investment Ordinance.
  • Investment law advice to a European asset manager with regard to the sub-outsourcing of the property management and negotiation of the respective property management agreement.
  • A US Fund on the regulatory review of their suitability for German investors within the meaning of the German Investment Ordinance pursuant to § 2 para. 1 no. 14 lit. c) AnlV.
