Ishita advises fund managers on the establishment of funds across a range of asset classes, including real estate, private equity, private credit, infrastructure as well as funds of funds and joint ventures.
She is also part of our tier 1 institutional investor practice advising sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, development finance institutions, insurance companies, family offices and other institutional investors on fund investments, co-investments, funds of one and managed accounts across all asset classes, and has advised clients on secondaries transactions and investor negotiations. She has previously worked as an investment funds attorney in Mumbai, India.

  • A Luxembourg based European logistics focussed semi open-ended fund in relation to its equity raise and numerous secondary transfers by its LPs.
  • A UK based manager in setting up a Luxembourg based fund with an ‘Article 8’ SFDR sub-fund.
  • Numerous Middle-Eastern sovereign wealth funds in relation to their investments across European funds.
  • A various Middle-Eastern sovereign wealth funds in relation to secondary transfers of their investments across global investment funds pursuant to government mandates.
  • A German asset management group in establishing an ‘Article 8’ SFDR Luxembourg based investment fund investing in office assets.
  • A Middle-Eastern investment bank in establishing investment funds focussed on investment in public equities, leasing and trade finance in the UAE.
  • Iron Pillar Group (a US based tech investment house) on setting up two investment funds in Mauritius (previous firm experience).
  • MacRitchie Investments Pte. Ltd. (subsidiary of Temasek Holdings, Singapore) in its anchor investment in an Indian PE fund (previous firm experience).
  • InnoVen Capital Asia Pte. Ltd in relation to a JV set up and advised InnoVen Capital Pte. Ltd (JV between Temasek and United Overseas Bank) in its anchor investment in InnoVen Capital India Fund (previous firm experience).
  • The subsidiary of a global alternative investment manager on its investment in a real estate fund managed by IIFL Wealth (previous firm experience).
  • Blackstone Group in relation to its bid to acquire majority ownership and control of the Edelweiss Wealth Management Group (previous firm experience).

Pro bono

  • Contributed to the research project with The Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice in New York partnering with the Africa End Sexual Harassment Initiative (AESHI) and the Pan Africa Lawyers Union (PALU) in an analysis of legal protections against workplace sexual harassment in Sub-Saharan Africa.
