Jacek is an advocate in the litigation department.

He represents commercial, financial and energy sector clients in complex, multijurisdictional and multiparty corporate and commercial litigation cases involving share purchase agreements, joint ventures, loan facilities, project finance and challenging resolutions of commercial companies’ authorities.

He has extensive experience in civil, commercial, and corporate law, including contractual, tort and corporate liability.

Representative matters

  • A global company generating energy from renewable sources in a series of proceedings to annul the resolutions of the shareholders meeting of its subsidiary and invalidate the agreements for purchasing rights to energy storage projects with a value exceeding EUR 130 million.
  • A foreign commercial bank in a dispute with a value exceeding PLN 56 million against the companies being the shareholders of its debtor and their beneficial owners for compensation for preventing the satisfaction of claims, based on the structure of the so-called “corporate veil piercing” (previous firm experience).
  • A foreign commercial bank in proceedings to annul a resolution of the shareholders meeting held following the seizure of title to shares in the course of injunction proceedings and the structure of the conservatory measures (previous firm experience).
  • A Polish investment fund in a complex dispute regarding corporate debt restructuring (previous firm experience) A member of the management board of one of the largest delicatessen chains in Poland in proceedings to ban them from pursuing business activity (previous firm experience).

Pro bono

  • Judging Oxford Socio-Legal debates held by the Court Watch Foundation Poland Advising at the Student Legal Clinic at the University of Łódź.
