James has particularly expansive experience of working with a diverse range of clients, with recent cases focussing on technologies such as SEP in the telecoms sphere, LED lighting special effects for film and television and laser-based countermeasures against heat-seeking missiles.
James has a passion for the High Tech field and has advised on some of the biggest, most complex and globally high profile pieces of litigation in the sector. James has spoken at international conferences on the subject of jurisdictional challenges facing the resolution of global telecommunications, FRAND and SEP disputes.
James read law at the University of Cambridge, where he was an Exhibitioner of Peterhouse and served as President of the Cambridge University Law Society. Before joining the firm James spent time on secondment at GlaxoSmithKline.
